I just finished the beginners yoga and i’m sitting here sweating (hah! i just typed “swearing” by mistake!)..I am an overweight 62 y/o female who has at least 75 lbs to lose. My joints are so tight that my knees were pointing skyward in the sitting pose and i had to sit with my legs out in front of me. I could not complete the dog poses and definitely felt this in the back of my thighs and in my wrists. I have fibromyalgia and exercise is difficult for me right now. I’m hoping i can benefit from yoga and also lose some weight. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful videos!
The truth is that it is not easy for me to leave the house and practice in a class (i have several young children) so this has been a wonderful blessing to me.

Cecil, I recommend working out at least 3x per week with yoga to see some real results. Find out which poses you like the most and feel the best on your body, and practice them more often if you’d like! I personally practice yoga every day, but I alternate my workouts so that I’m always stretching and working out a different part of my body everyday to give my muscles a break.
Practicing yoga can help with body awareness, flexibility, strength, mobility, and balance. It also requires you to shift into a more relaxed state, which can help decrease stress, increase focus, and promote a stronger connection with yourself.
