Never, ever have I seen yoga practiced or explained in quite the unique way that you do it – or I guess I should say that I have never connected to any practice the way that I feel I’ve connected in following yours. It’s amazing, and refreshing and I love the freedom that you bring to the mat….I know yoga is about the listening to your body and breathe and making it your own, but I’ve always felt a little confined by the instructor and trying to do it exactly the way I see it done. Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Flex your feet. Sit up tall with a straight back. Rotate the chest open to stack the shoulders and bring the arms into a straight line.
Modification: If standing is too much of a challenge, lay on your back with the soles of your feet pressed up against a wall. You’ll feel like you’re standing on the floor, but your lower back will get a slight stretch.
