Beginning Yoga Clutter is not just physical stuff. It’s old ideas, toxic relationships and bad habits. Clutter is anything that does not support your better self. Also, clearly, I do not have a single yoga mat to speak highly of enough to recommend in my VLOG. Ultimately I am weary of people feeling like they have to have a big fancy mat to practice. Square hips and keep right foot flexed. Grab a block and place it under right hip. Sit upright with hands on floor for support if that’s enough, or fold forward over front leg and relax forehead to mat. Relax shoulders and breathe into the stretch in your hips. Repeat on other side.

I’m just writing so you know how special this practice is for me. You’re such a good instructor, with your jokes and you way of just being relatable (some yoga teachers make it such a complicated ritual like as any pain you experience means you’re weak for this…). Anyway, I’m entering a new phase in my life and yoga is just what I need to embrace my new me and develop it everyday.
