Of these, Samkhya was probably one of the oldest philosophies to begin taking a systematic form. Patanjali systematized Yoga, building them on the foundational metaphysics of Samkhya. In the early works, the Yoga principles appear together with the Samkhya ideas. Vyasa's commentary on the Yoga Sutras, also called the Samkhyapravacanabhasya (Commentary on the Exposition of the Sankhya Philosophy), describes the relation between the two systems. The two schools have some differences as well. Yoga accepted the conception of "personal god", while Samkhya developed as a rationalist, non-theistic/atheistic system of Hindu philosophy. Sometimes Patanjali's system is referred to as Seshvara Samkhya in contradistinction to Kapila's Nirivara Samkhya.
How to do it: In this standing pose, you step your feet wide apart, about a leg’s distance apart. Turn your right leg out 90 degrees, and then angle your left toes in just slightly. Take your arms out to the side, to be level with the floor and then you bend your right knee so that it stacks on top of your ankle. Make a square with that right knee and hold the pose. Then, repeat for the opposite side.

You are so genuinely positive/happy, your voice is so nice to listen to, and you have such a wide variety of videos and video lengths. I have tried a handfull of your complete beginer videos and your fat buring/weight loss videos. I started a week ago and the first few days I was so sore but I have been keeping up with it daily and I feel so much better! I haven’t had an excersise progam in the past year, and gained weight so it feel great moving again. Can’t wait to see improvement with my poses and holding time. I’m hoping to eventually become comfortable enough to take a group class. So I just wanted to say thank you for putting out such great videos and for free! Can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
