This is a breathing practice first. By listening, and honoring your breath, you'll know when you're working "just right" and not over or under doing it. You can always take child's pose whenever you need a break or need to regain your focus.
One of the most useful poses in yoga, the child’s pose tends to be either more or less difficult than it appears. A remix of the fetal position, child’s pose was likely given this name because it makes people feel calm and nestled by nature. Notoriously healing, it is notably deeply relaxing for the back, relieves constipation, opens the hips, and helps to calm the nervous system.
